Fact Check:
How Does Cancer Spread?
Cancer cells can spread through the body in several different ways. These include:
Growing into, or invading, nearby normal tissue.
Moving through the walls of nearby lymph nodes or blood vessels.
Traveling through the lymphatic system and bloodstream to other parts of the body.
Stopping in small blood vessels at a distant location, invading the blood vessel walls, and moving into the surrounding tissue.
Growing in this tissue until a tiny tumor forms.
Causing new blood vessels to grow, which creates a blood supply that allows the metastatic tumor to continue growing.

5. Allocation Of Funds From Donations - What's Being Done With Money Raised?
Chris E. talks about his opinion on cancer awareness, and during this conversation he mentions how the Steelers sponsored the “Pittsburgh Is Stronger Than Cancer” initiative at a previous game. This led to talking about where the money raised from these kinds of programs goes.
Two popular cancer research charities are “American Cancer Society” and “Cancer Research Institute”. Both are 501(c)(3) charitable organizations, meaning they are not funded by the government and instead get their funding from individuals, corporations, and foundations. For the 2022 fiscal year, American Cancer Society claims that 81% of their resources went to patient support, discovery, and advocacy, while the other 19% of resources were used to fund their management, fundraising, and other general expenses. The Cancer Research Institute claims that during the same fiscal year, 86 cents of every dollar raised went to funding their programs.
